Your health is personal, and we treat it that way. Vitala is a demonstration platform built to show how clear, trustworthy health information can be presented. This page explains the principles we would follow in a live service.

Wherever possible, we favour designs that need as little of your information as possible to be useful.

Browsing Vitala does not require an account. If we offered accounts or newsletters in a live setting, we would only ask for what is genuinely needed — such as an email address — and we would always tell you why.

Interactive tools like the Symptom Checker, BMI calculator and Question Builder run entirely in your browser. The details you enter are not sent to a server or saved to a profile.

Any information collected in a live service would be used only for the purpose you provided it — for example, sending a newsletter you asked for — and never sold.

We would use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which content helps people, in a form that does not identify you as an individual.

You would always be able to access, correct or delete any information held about you, and to unsubscribe from anything you had opted into.

Because this is a demonstration project, the contact details and processes described here are illustrative rather than operational.
